WHAT YOU'LL DO:
1.Keyword Research & Strategy
Conduct comprehensive keyword research to identify high-value opportunities for a client-based ongoing landing page development program.
Analyze competitor keywords and search strategies to inform our approach.
Group and map keywords to specific landing pages and blog topics to create a cohesive content architecture.
Provide strategic recommendations based on keyword search volume, difficulty, and user intent.
2.Content & On-Page SEO
Develop detailed SEO briefs and content outlines for our writing team to ensure blog posts are optimized for target keywords and search intent.
Perform on-page SEO audits and provide recommendations for optimizing titles, meta descriptions, headers, internal linking, and image alt-text.
Collaborate with the content team to ensure SEO best practices are integrated into the content creation workflow.
3.Technical SEO & Site Performance
Conduct regular technical SEO audits to identify and resolve issues related to crawling, indexing, and site architecture.
Analyze and monitor core web vitals and overall site speed, providing actionable recommendations for improvement to our development team.
Work to enhance the overall user experience (UX) from a technical SEO perspective, ensuring the site is mobile-friendly and easy to navigate for both users and search engines.
Manage and maintain our sitemap, robots.txt file, and schema markup implementation.
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
3+ years of SEO experience
A deep understanding of SEOs role in content marketing
A portfolio of past SEO projects
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret performance data and provide actionable insights
An open, collaborative mindset that's creative, adaptable, and strategic
Strong communication skills
Residence within the lower 48 states - with east coast working availability
A proactive communicator

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Client-Focused Content Creation
Write evocative, romantic, and detailed product descriptions for our fine jewelry client that illuminate the inspiration, craftsmanship, and unique attributes of each piece.
Develop and write engaging, SEO-informed articles for the client's blog, covering topics such as gemstone education, the history of jewelry design, and seasonal style guides, based on briefs provided by our SEO team.
Craft compelling and elegant copy for the client’s marketing channels, including email newsletters and social media captions, that aligns with their luxury brand voice and our strategic goals.
Strategic Collaboration & Execution
Work from detailed SEO briefs and content outlines provided by our strategy team to ensure all content is optimized for target keywords, search intent, and the client's specific goals.
Collaborate closely with the BitterRoot account manager to understand client needs, feedback, and project timelines.
Adapt your writing style to perfectly capture the client's sophisticated and luxurious brand voice, ensuring consistency across all deliverables.
Content Refinement & Optimization
Incorporate feedback from both the BitterRoot team and the client to refine and perfect copy.
Perform on-page SEO best practices within your writing, including the natural integration of keywords and the optimization of headlines and subheadings.
Contribute to a content strategy that not only tells a beautiful story but also drives measurable results for our client.
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
3+ years of professional content writing experience, preferably with experience in an agency setting.
A portfolio that showcases sophisticated writing samples, with work in the fine jewelry, luxury, or fashion sectors being a significant advantage.
A deep appreciation for and knowledge of fine jewelry, gemstones, and luxury branding.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret content briefs and strategic direction, translating them into compelling creative work.
An open, collaborative mindset that's creative, adaptable, and strategic—you can take direction well and run with it.
Exceptional communication skills and the professionalism to act as an extension of our agency when interacting with client materials.
Residence within the lower 48 states, with East Coast working availability.
A proactive communicator who is comfortable in a remote, deadline-driven environment.

Contract Email Marketing Specialist - E-commerce

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Campaign Strategy & Execution
Develop and execute sophisticated email marketing campaigns for our fine jewelry client, including promotional sends, new collection launches, and content-driven newsletters, handling all aspects of campaign set up and implementation.
Design and build elegant, on-brand email templates that are mobile-responsive and optimized for a luxury user experience.
Collaborate with the project manager and content writer to schedule, test, and deploy email campaigns.
Audience Segmentation & Automation
Build and manage segmented audience lists based on customer data, engagement history, and purchase behavior to deliver highly personalized content.
Implement and optimize automated email flows, such as welcome series, abandoned cart reminders, post-purchase follow-ups, and customer win-back campaigns.
Maintain the health and hygiene of the client’s email database, ensuring compliance with email marketing regulations (CAN-SPAM, GDPR).
Performance Analysis & Optimization
Continuously monitor and analyze key performance indicators, including open rates, click-through rates, conversion rates, and list growth.
Conduct A/B tests on subject lines, email copy, design, and calls-to-action to improve campaign performance.
Provide regular performance reports to the BitterRoot team with actionable insights and strategic recommendations for our client.
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
3+ years of hands-on email marketing experience, preferably within an agency or e-commerce environment.
A portfolio showcasing successful email campaigns you have managed, including examples of automation, segmentation, and performance metrics.
Proven experience with major Email Service Platforms (ESPs) is essential; proficiency in Klaviyo is a significant advantage.
A deep understanding of the email marketing lifecycle and best practices for a luxury consumer brand.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret performance data and translate it into strategic, actionable insights.
An open, collaborative mindset that's creative, adaptable, and highly organized.
Strong communication skills and the professionalism to manage a key aspect of a client's marketing program.
